Diverse Developments LLC has been formed as a business to develop properties. We are starting with a commercial parking facility. Our goal is to obtain raw land and develop it into a commercial parking facility. This facility will be an all-inclusive commercial center that will provide the transportation industry with an area that provides 24/7 safe, secure and affordable parking. There will also be a business center that will have amenities and businesses that truck drivers need. We plan to recruit businesses that drivers do not normally have access to but desperately need. Before we formed DD LLC, we were not looking at doing anything on this scale. We started this project looking for a small piece of land to help some family members that are in the trucking industry with their parking issues. We made some inquiries to the State of Washington about some property they owned and was then approached by WSDOT about our project. After doing a vast amount of research, we found that there is a very real need for SAFE parking throughout the nation. In order to deal with the various State/Federal agencies, legislators, and investors, we found it necessary to form a business that is recognizable without needing to explain ourselves every time we met with someone new.
Our goals at this time is to address commercial parking issues, not just in our home state of Washington, but to eventually try and help in the troubled areas throughout America. There are many places that are very dangerous for trucker to park. They are being robbed, assaulted and vandalized. The trucking industry is the most important industry this nation has. You can say what you want about any business, but without the trucks getting the supplies and materials to them, they can’t function. At the same time, we all depend upon them but they are the first ones everyone turns their backs on. We have all heard or even used the excuses. The trucks are to big and mess with our commute, the trucks are loud and stinky, the drivers are dirty and smell bad, they throw their garbage everywhere and are rude… Many of the issues are directly related to parking problems. Many truckers do not have places to park and get safe rest. They need to resort to parking on the byways, abandoned businesses and anywhere they can find. This puts them in bad situations. They often have their sleep interrupted by people banging on their doors trying to sell them drugs, sex and other things. They have been robbed, vandalized and even killed parking in some of these places. Truck drivers are held to some pretty high standards when it comes to driving on our roads. They can get fines for many different reasons that the average driver knows nothing about. If they drive to long, overweight, wrong hours of the day in some areas and even if they have trash in their trucks. They would rather throw their trash, bags and bottles of human waste and other stuff out on the side of the road than get a huge fine for having it in their truck. Many of the complaints the average person has about truckers can be fixed with more parking facilities. These facilities would have showers, garbage disposal, restrooms and safe parking for the drivers.
